The former Orica site has a long and colourful history, which began back in the 1940s as a site used for the production of TNT during WWII. Various chemical production ensued which led to environmental damage to the surrounds. In early 2000s, the site was decommissioned, followed by 12 years of significant remediation and clean up operation.
We were engaged immediately post site acquisition by the client to create a concept masterplan which addresses numerous site constraints such as retention of native vegetation, contamination management and extremely undulating topography. Through close collaboration with a team of highly skilled engineers, we ultimately created a highly functional, integrated industrial estate comprising of 12 flexible warehouse facilities ranging from 1,860sqm. to 12,400sqm. that will cater to the needs of small and medium sized businesses seeking last mile storage facilities close to end customers.
