Prior to establishing Concept Y Architecture in 2014, Eric spent over 8 years as Architectural Manager of the publicly listed developer Australand, responsible for the management of the Commercial & Industrial design division, overseeing the design delivery of all projects across southern continental Australia (Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia). He was personally responsible for over 200 project specific feasibility studies and the design delivery of over 40 commercial & industrial facilities, delivering a total of more than 700,000m² industrial and 50,000m² commercial spaces with a combined end value in excess of $700 million. Key projects undertaken by Eric while at Australand have included such multinational corporations as Agility Logistics, Caterpillar, DB Schenker, DHL, Electrolux, Fenner Dunlop, Mazda, Rinnai and The Toll Group, to name a few.
With over 14 years of industry experience ranging from commercial, industrial and residential architecture to estate masterplanning, Eric draws upon his robust architectural skillset when tackling complex design issues. His design philosophy is that aesthetically pleasing architecture doesn’t necessarily have to come at the expense of functionality or budgetary blowouts. A pragmatic approach coupled with an understanding of the intricacies of value management can facilitate an architectural outcome of the highest quality and functionality while maintaining budgetary constraints.
